Amy Steele is an Audit & Assurance partner with over 25 years of experience working in professional accounting and regulation. Amy has experience serving companies ranging from start-ups to large global organizations, with a strong focus on the technology and media industries. She is a recognized leader on a variety of complex technical, regulatory, and standard-setting matters.
Amy is currently Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Strategy Leader – Quality, Risk and Regulatory, developing and executing against our strategic priorities. Amy previously held other leadership positions within the organization, including US Deputy Chief Auditor and Global and US Audit & Assurance Methodology Leader for Blockchain and Digital Assets. Amy also led initiatives related to sustainability, emerging technologies, and emerging assurance services.
Amy co-chairs the American Institute of CPAs® (AICPA) Digital Assets Working Group.
Previously, Amy served as Associate Chief Accountant in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where she supported the office in its role as the principal adviser to the commissioners on profession-wide audit matters and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) oversight.
