Tamara Schulz is a seasoned finance executive with over 20 years of leadership experience spanning fintech, financial services, and regulatory institutions. She currently serves as Chief Accounting Officer at Circle, where she leads a global team across Accounting, Tax, SEC Reporting, SOX Compliance, and Financial Systems in support of the company’s IPO readiness and rapid global expansion. Tamara is driving key initiatives including enterprise-wide ERP modernization and the design of scalable financial infrastructure to support Circle’s transition to a public company.
Prior to Circle, Tamara held senior executive roles at CURO Financial Technologies and Capital One, where she led diverse functions including accounting, FP&A, liquidity risk, regulatory reporting, investor relations, and M&A integration. Her background also includes roles at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Freddie Mac, and Deloitte, giving her a rare breadth of experience across private, public, and regulatory sectors.
Tamara is recognized for her ability to build high-performing teams, modernize financial systems, and drive enterprise-wide transformation. She holds a Master of Accounting from the University of Arizona and a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College, and is a licensed CPA in New York and Virginia.
